Dan's primary focus is on local electricity generation and supply models, leading the Local Supply Communities project.
He is also responsible for a range of consultancy work, including advising new entrant suppliers on the costs of establishing a supply business, the impacts of zonal transmission losses, networks cost forecasts, activity in the domestic and non-domestic retail markets and more. Dan contributes to Cornwall Insight’s training programme, presenting the public Introducing the GB Energy Markets and Understanding the GB Electricity Markets courses, as well as a range of in-house and bespoke courses. Previously much of Dan’s work has focussed on the retail and regulatory energy space, and he has a strong knowledge of retail tariff composition, the retail market landscape, and policy and regulatory impacts on supplier costs.
