DECCConsultation on Competitive Allocation of Contracts for Difference 17 January 2014 DECC issued this consultation on 16 January. The government is seeking views on its new proposals for the allocation of contracts for difference (CfDs) and through this consultation aims to finalise key elements of its approach. The government is proposing to change the method of allocating CfDs so they will be allocated on the basis of allocation rounds; with exposure to a competitive bidding process dependent on the maturity of the technology set and its associated budget constraint.
