OfgemConsultation on Protecting Domestic Consumers in the Green and Renewable Tariffs Market – Final Proposals 3 July 2014 On 27 June Ofgem issued a consultation proposing policy changes for the green and renewable tariffs market to improve protection for domestic consumers. The regulator is proposing rules regarding how suppliers inform consumers about the environmental benefits of tariffs that include renewable electricity. Supplier will be required to make it clear if an electricity tariff does not lead to environmental benefits and will also need to have evidence to show they have supplied renewable electricity.
