DECCThe Future of the Energy Company Obligation 4 August 2014 On 22 July, DECC published a document outlining the government’s response to its March consultation on The Future of the Energy Company Obligation (ECO). The response confirmed a number of changes would be made to the ECO energy efficiency scheme. Changes confirmed for the current obligation period finishing on 31 March 2015 include: the Carbon Emissions Reduction Obligation (CERO) target will be reduced by 33%; loft insulation, cavity wall insulation and district heating systems will be eligible under CERO from 1 April 2014; and eligibility for the Carbon Savings Communities Obligation (CSCO) will be increased from 15% ...
