Ofgem decisionCMP201 Proposal to Remove Balancing Charges from Generators 3 October 2014 Ofgem published its decision to reject CMP201 Proposal to Remove Balancing Charges from Generators on 2 October. This modification was raised by National Grid Electricity Transmission (NGET) and sought to remove Balancing Services Use of System (BSUoS) charges from generation and to apply the charge entirely to demand. This was intended to align GB market arrangements with those prevalent within other EU member states and so deliver more effective competition and trade across the EU.
