DECC response to consultation on a Review of the Feed-in Tariff scheme 27 August 2015 On 27 August DECC issued a consultation on its review of the Feed-in-Tariff (FiT) scheme, proposing a set of measures to control the schemes costs. Among the measures being considered, DECC is proposing: To reduce generation tariffs and revised banding categories for capacity; A potential removal of the generation tariffs for new FiT applications from January 2016 if proposed cost control caps are deemed unable to place the scheme on a “sustainable trajectory”; A move to quarterly degression for all technologies.
