National GridCapacity Market––Prequalification register 29 September 2015 On 25 September National Grid published the first prequalification register for the 2015 T-4 auction and the demand side response (DSR) transitional arrangement (TA) auction. 251 units participated in the prequalification process for the T-4 auction, accounting for 58.8GW of de-rated capacity. 109 units submitted information to the delivery body for the transitional arrangements, representing 1.6GW of de-rated capacity. 45.8GW of capacity prequalified and conditionally prequalified. 92% of this was from existing generation. 52% of qualified existing capacity was made up of combined cycle gas turbines (CCGT), 17% was coal and 18% nuclear.
