New BSC modificationP350 Introduction of a Seasonal Zonal Transmission Losses Scheme 6 July 2016 The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) concluded in its energy market investigation that the absence of locational pricing for transmission losses has an Adverse Effect on Competition (AEC). In line with the CMA’s remedy, which places an Order on National Grid, it has therefore raised P350 Introduction of a Seasonal Zonal Transmission Losses Scheme. This will introduce a transmission loss factor for each Grid Supply Point (GSP) Group for each BSC season in order to allocate transmission losses on a geographical basis.
