OfgemConfidence Code Review 2016 Consultation 12 August 2016 Ofgem issued a consultation on 3 August setting out its proposals to amend the price comparison website (PCW) voluntary code of practice, the Confidence Code, in light of the Competition and Markets Authority’s (CMA) remedies. The CMA has asked Ofgem to remove the Code’s obligation on PCWs to display deals from across the Whole of the Market (WoM). By doing so it hopes to incentivise PCWs participation in the energy market and promote competition.
