Consultation on Reducing Emissions from Medium Combustion Plants and Generators to Improve Air Quality 21 November 2016 Defra issued this consultation on 16 November which seeks views on two sets of proposals. The first is draft plans to implement the Medium Combustion Plant Directive (MCPD) and emission controls on generators. The MCPD is a new Directive which introduces emission controls on new plants from December 2018 and existing plants in 2025 and 2030, depending on size, and must be transposed into UK law by 19 December 2017, with the controls applying to new plants from December 2018.
