BEIS Paper: Calculating the Level of the Renewables Obligation for 2019-20 3 October 2018 Headline Assessment 1 Summary BEIS’s forecast of Renewables Obligation (RO) Certificates (Rocs) to be issued for Compliance Period (CP) 18 covering 2019-20 has decreased from the CP17 (2018-19) level. This is in line with what we were expecting as the number of Rocs BEIS had forecast for CP17 was particularly high. However, there has been a significant reduction to BEIS’s electricity demand forecast meaning that the Roc/MWh obligation on suppliers has risen.
