January in Brief Pricing On 19 January, Good Energy announced a price increase on its standard variable tariff of 10% for electricity and 11.5% for gas, effective from 1 March. The average dual fuel customer will see their bill increase by £120/year to £1,187/year In February, Scottish Power and npower also both made price rise announcements, while British Gas announced a freeze in standard variable prices.
