May 2017 in Brief Operational Performance ·         BES Utilities, CNG Ltd, Ecotricity and Good Energy were all listed in the London Stock Exchange’s ‘1000 Companies to Inspire Britain’ report Strategic Direction ·         Statoil announced it had been ranked first amongst large oil and gas companies in the recent CDP survey for decarbonising its portfolio ·         At the Total AGM the group discussed the new upstream oil projects and the company’s move towards powering the future transport sector ·         ENGIE launched its UK domestic supply business on 11 May ·         DONG confirmed on 23 May that it has divested itself of all its oil and gas assets to make it a ‘pure play green energy company.’ Financial Performance ·         In 2016 EDF Energy signed new I&C accounts with Nissan, Coca-Cola, Urenco and Fujitsu totalling 772GWh, according to EDF Group financial results on Companies House, released on 26 May.
