Government unveils 25-year environment plan On Thursday 11 January the government published its 25-year plan for improving the environment. Among the suite of measures it set out was legislation to limit the levels of emissions from medium-sized combustion plants and generators. The plan estimates that this will provide 43% of the sulphur dioxide emissions reduction, 9% of the reduction for particulate matter, and 22% of the nitrogen oxides emissions reduction necessary to meet targets for 2030.
