NIC backs continued deployment of solar and onshore wind The National Infrastructure Commission (NIC) delivered its flagship National Infrastructure Assessment on Tuesday 10 July, with its headline recommendation in the power sector being continued deployment of onshore wind and solar. To achieve this the report recommended that the government set out a pipeline of pot 1 Contracts for Difference auctions, to deliver at least 50% renewable generation by 2030.
