EC approves energy intensive industries FiT exemption The European Commission (EC) has given State aid approval to change the FiT compensation scheme for energy intensive industries (EIIs) in the UK to a FiT exemption instead. Under FiT compensation, EIIs would pay towards the scheme and then be compensated.
