Progress against post-2020 smart targets set to be published on supplier websites Ofgem issued a consultation on Tuesday 1 October on plans for a new smart meter installation reporting framework in light of BEIS’s recent post-2020 plans. All suppliers would be required to report their annual installation electricity and gas milestones to Ofgem by 31 January in each reporting year and report on their installation rates by 31 January in the following year. Suppliers with more than 150,000 accounts would also be required to break down the reporting for credit, pre-payment, domestic and non-domestic customers, whereas smaller suppliers would only be required to report their overall targets and installation numbers. Ofgem is also planning to require suppliers to publish headline information on milestones and performance on their websites. The issuing of the annual wider monitoring Request for Information for larger suppliers is expected to continue. Responses to the proposals are requested until 26 November. Ofgem Ofgem proposes Final Orders for RO late payment deadline The regulator announced on Tuesday 1 October that it was consulting on Final Orders for four suppliers that missed the original deadline of 31 August to make Renewables Obligation (RO) buyout payments. Ofgem reported these suppliers had not provided adequate assurances that they will pay by the late payment deadline of 31 October. The suppliers are: Delta Gas and Power Ltd (outstanding amount: £91,937); Gnergy Ltd (£637,876); Robin Hood Energy Ltd (£9,435,925); and Toto Energy Ltd (£4,555,880).
