The UK government recently released its plans to deliver a smart, flexible future for the energy system, reforming market rules to encourage battery storage and demand-side response. Reacting, the Ulster Farmers’ Union (UFU) has urged the Utility Regulator, NIE Networks and SONI to follow this lead in Northern Ireland.
