With the final RESS Qualification details due to be released on the 2nd of March, and the inevitable slew of questions that will arise from the bundle of regulatory documents, we are providing this forum as part of our “Route to RESS” service. Our team of experts will examine documentation in advance of the forum, highlight the key criteria and areas of potential ambiguity to facilitate a focussed discussion, and ensure attendees leave with an in-depth understanding of the requirements for successful qualification.
We will facilitate open and honest discussion in our forum and will encourage all attendees to voice their opinions while providing our own insight into the qualification of your project(s) into the RESS-1 auction. This will enable all entrants into the RESS auction who attend our forum to have the best possible chance to successfully qualify for the RESS-1 Auction and give you time to finalise your Qualification Submission.
Areas of focus
With the help of our team of experts the forum will go through

- Preference categories
- Project Finance

- Post-qualification outlook
Session 1 will begin with a presentation from Cornwall Insight Ireland, providing an overview of the RESS-1 qualification process, and identifying the key areas of interest or concern, encouraging questions and views from the floor. The purpose of the first session is to go through the detail of the final Terms and Conditions and Qualification Information Pack.
Session 2 will delve further into the risks associated with the qualification pack and how these should be considered as part of your RESS strategy. The purpose is not to divulge commercially sensitive information, but to ensure all parties are informed and feel prepared ahead of the qualification process. This session will be more discursive and will give all attendees a chance to ask questions and seek views from our experts and industry peers, as well as share their own views and understanding of the RESS qualification process.
- Renewable asset developers
- Legal advisors
Following a healthy discussion there may be outstanding questions from attendees. We will collate these and will endeavour to provide a response by end of the week (13th March).
