Financing net zero forum
2pm (GMT) 3pm (CET)
The £1bn Net Zero Innovation Portfolio announced by the government last year intends to accelerate the commercialisation of innovative clean technologies to decarbonise the UK’s energy system. In the same vein, the Energy White Paper includes commitments to develop – among the others – energy storage, heat pumps, hydrogen and carbon capture usage and storage (CCUS). But how will these projects manage to finally become commercially viable and attract private investment? And what regulatory framework and revenue mechanisms are needed to encourage the market to deliver commercially viable pipelines of less established technologies? A panel discussion with leading market participants will address these and other questions.
