Solar opportunities in Europe
Thursday 29 July 2pm BST (3pm CEST)
As the EU now plans to reach at least a 40% share of energy from renewable sources in the Union’s gross final consumption of energy in 2030, our upcoming “Financing net zero” session investigates solar opportunities across the continent. A presentation by Cornwall Insight will explore the new draft targets and scan the most promising jurisdictions across the continent. A panel discussion will follow, assessing the role of private capital in the impending next wave of solar rollout, with a focus on routes to market, from tenders to PPAs and merchant projects.
- Emma Bill, Lead Research Analyst, Cornwall Insight
- Eren Çam, Senior Research Consultant, EWI
The panel includes:
- Zosia Riesner, Director of Power Markets Europe, Lightsource BP
- Tom Andrews, Consultant, Cornwall Insight
- Lawrence Slade, CEO, Global Infrastructure Investor Association (GIIA)
- Dan Atzori, Research Partner, Cornwall Insight (chair)
The Financing net zero forum is aimed at all types of investors, providing the community with a platform to exchange information and views, and to discuss common issues and concerns affecting energy policy, regulation and financing, and informed by our independent and objective analysis and insight.
