Financing net zero forum
The financing net zero forum is aimed at all types of investors, providing the community with a platform to exchange information and views, and to discuss common issues and concerns affecting energy policy, regulation and financing, and informed by our independent and objective analysis and insight.
The independent third-party mediation and contextual analysis provided by Cornwall Insight will act as a sound basis for informed, empirically based discussions on these and other key issues. The forum will include:
- A spotlight presentation each month, delivered by a relevant Cornwall Insight’s expert, on a specific theme. Topics that will be evaluated include subsidy-free and corporate PPAs EV charging, energy storage, heat and hydrogen, the financing transition for energy infrastructure maturing from PFI/PPP schemes (such as waste to energy), and investment considerations for future policy instruments, such as carbon capture and storage (CCS) Contracts for Difference (CfD) and RAB models. The aim is to critically evaluate the key opportunities and challenges for equity and debt investors involved in funding decarbonization and related projects in the UK and abroad.
- The competitive dynamics and the outlook for existing key catalysts of investment activity such as the CfD and Capacity Market auctions as well as developments in the balancing services markets.
- Updates on the more pertinent recent regulatory, policy, market and industry developments for investors.
Our launch session will take place on Thursday 26 March and will include an in-depth discussion on the upcoming Spring Budget and the National Infrastructure Strategy. If you are an investor and would like to attend, please contact Daniel Atzori at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 07425 330 293.
