An Introduction to Green Finance
Price: £595(+VAT)
This course will help you build a comprehensive knowledge of the fundamentals of Green Finance, with an emphasis on Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) principles.
Green Finance is a phenomenon that integrates economic growth with environmental protection and the delivery of a net zero economy. The concept is underpinned by two main financial concepts. “Greening finance” involves aligning private sector financial flows with environmentally sustainable growth. “Financing green” refers to mobilizing capital towards clean technologies and renewable energy projects. As a dominant concept for measuring sustainability on investment, ESG variables are integral to sustainable financial models.
In light of this, participants will learn about Green Finance and the integration of ESG principles in global regulation, policies and initiatives. In particular, this course will focus on the UK’s Green Finance Strategy, the role of sustainable finance within the European Green Deal, the mobilization of finance for clean growth, and the relationship between ESG and Islamic Finance.
