Introduction to gas & electricity wholesale trading
Price: £595 + VAT
This interactive training course, delivered in partnership between APT Energy and Cornwall Insight, gives attendees the opportunity to trade energy in a simulated market environment. Delegates are provided with the necessary understanding of the technical and commercial parameters of a generation portfolio and the operation of the simulator. Buying and selling power and gas through the simulator to take or close traded positions gives a ‘hands-on’ feel for the operation of the market and some of its risks, such as price discontinuities and lack of liquidity.
Expert presenters will explain the fundamentals of the GB energy market design that underpin trading rules, wholesale price drivers, trading activities, and the commercial behaviours that different market players typically adopt.
