Recording | Smart metering - market dynamics

A recording is now available to purchase

The completion of the smart metering programme is expected to unlock opportunities for the introduction of new consumer products and facilitate household demand side response and flexibility services. The energy supplier has a central role to install 53mn smart meters, but has to do so within a complex regulatory, policy and metering market environment.

Our industry experts will provide insights on the current state of the rollout, discuss the metering market participants, and how the programme interact with retail Price Caps and the tariff market. We will also explain the policy objectives, regulatory environment, and technical landscape within which suppliers are rolling out smart meters. This will include a walkthrough of how all the elements fit together, including Ofgem, DCC, supplier, the Smart Energy Code and the smart meter and supporting technology itself.

The session concludes with a Q&A session with our experts.
