We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Consultant

The consultant is required to support the Associate Director(s) with the origination and delivery of new consultancy work. Specific responsibilities will be dependent on experience.

Depending on experience you will be required to lead or support the management of new and existing consultancy projects, ensuring they are delivered professionally to the customers’ requirements, on budget and time, whilst identifying new opportunities to upsell current products and development of new products.

The ideal candidate will have previous power and utilities experience. They will have strong analytical and research experience, highly developed verbal and written communication skills, excellent presentation skills, and proven problem solving capability which will enable them to identify and then clearly present solutions to clients. They should be comfortable managing several workstreams simultaneously, and to deadlines.

The successful candidate will be required to:

  • Developing methods of research and analysis to answer the needs of customer project work
  • Preparing or editing customer proposals and pitch materials
  • Taking ownership and responsibility for managing projects from inception through to completion
  • Assisting team members and other Cornwall Insight colleagues with the development of core subscription services and training materials
  • Working alone and with other colleague on the origination of new opportunities as market and client need requires
  • Build industry networks to raise Cornwall Insight’s presence across relevant sectors and to develop working relationships with existing and potential customers
  • Attending industry events and participating in industry work groups as required
  • Delivery of training courses (public and in-house)
  • Reporting to the Associate Director on the delivery of consultancy projects, maintaining the highest standards in content and analysis
  • Adhering to the processes for management reporting, invoicing and quality assurance for consultancy projects
