Principal Consultant - Energy Economics

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as Principal Consultant - Energy Economics.

The purpose of this role is to work at a senior level with customers, delivering projects, developing team members and leading on business development and the origination of new consulting work.

The role holder will be required to lead and support on the execution of new and existing consultancy projects, ensuring they are delivered professionally to the customers’ requirements, priced appropriately and delivered on budget and time.

The successful candidate will be:

  • A degree in Economics or related area (Undergraduate required, Masters desirable)
  • 10 years experience in the energy / consulting sector - previous experience of working on energy-related projects or policy
  • Demonstrated success in project and process management in team-oriented environments
  • Line management experience, coaching skills and developing team members
  • Ability to analyse, interpret, and derive insight from complex quantitative data and information
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate with technical and non-technical team members
  • Self-starter, entrepreneurial mindset, and desire to grow the business
  • Excellent communication
  • A desire to question and the ambition to develop
  • A burning desire to be a sector-leading expert that customers call first
