Cuauhtemoc joined Cornwall Insight in 2023 as a Senior Consultant, having worked the last four years for SEMOpx, the island of Ireland power exchange, where he represented the power exchange in market coupling European committees involving power exchanges, TSOs, regulators and the European Commission.

He also provided policy positions, expert advice and in-depth analysis of policy development to the power exchange and advised SEMOpx on the impact to the business of European policy/regulatory changes in the electricity market landscape. Prior to that, Cuauhtemoc worked at the International Energy Agency where he focused on energy security and lead the capacity building work with non-member countries on energy security.  Cuauhtemoc also worked in the UK on energy consumers affairs for six years.
