Musker

Tom is the GB & Ireland Modelling Team Manager at Cornwall Insight, with twelve years’ experience in the energy market. He leads a team providing analytics and forecasts for some of Cornwall Insights key energy products. He steers the development of new and existing modelling projects and provides analytics to support commercial strategies, investments and understanding the impact of policy and regulation on the market.

Tom’s main focus has been on managing Cornwall Insight’s Benchmark Power Curve service, which provides scenario-based projections of future wholesale and capacity prices, revenues by technology and generation mix. Tom also provides regular support to the consultancy team on projects involving bespoke modelling, and with his previous industry experience, he leads training courses in electricity and gas trading and risk management.

Prior to his current position, Tom worked in Cornwall Insight’s consultancy team. He has previous experience as a power and gas trader, and as a fundamental analyst working for EDF Energy. Tom graduated from the University of Reading with a BSc (Hons) in Physics and the Universe.
