Grow your career with us
Head of Market Intelligence, Vicky Claxton talks us through her journey in Cornwall Insight from when she first started as a Graduate through to her current role.
Graduate Programme
Our graduate programme has been carefully designed to give you the perfect introduction to the energy industry. Joining as a Graduate Analyst, you will work closely with two of our key departments – Market Intelligence and Consultancy. You will work alongside key members of these teams and benefit from their experience. During the 16-month programme, you will develop your skills and deepen your knowledge across four separate placements.

Year in industry
Our Year in Industry programme offers a fantastic opportunity for students to work alongside our market intelligence and consulting teams and gain vital experience in the workplace. It also helps you explore what you are really passionate about, which in turn will help shape your career path.
Our values
Openness
Communicate with honesty, sharing information transparently and ensuring those around you are comfortable expressing their own thoughts and feelings.
Us
We are the heart and soul of the organisation and our curiosity helps us grow and develop and find fulfilment in our roles.
Trust
The ability to rely on our colleagues, and be relied upon, to meet commitments, be empowered by it and provide help and support when it is needed.
Respect
Ensure that individuals always act with integrity when interacting with others, treating those around you with empathy while being mindful of the challenges they face.
Our awards
Ranked as one of the top management consultancies in the Energy, Utilities and Environmental sector by the Financial Times
We have committed for our offices to have 80% of electricity consumption from qualified renewable sources by 2025 and 100% from qualified renewable sources by 2030.
Charity of the year
Each year Cornwall Insight nominates a new charity to support. Everyone in the team has the opportunity to put forward a charity of their choice. The team will then vote to decide who becomes Cornwall Insight’s charity of the year. Our charity committee organises a regular programme of fundraising activities. For example, pub quizzes and bake sales, to raise as much money as possible to support the charity’s fundraising goals.

Social activities
Social activities are an important part of the culture at Cornwall Insight. Our social committee organises regular activities, which, in the past, have included gaming nights and trips to the cinema. Our summer social and Christmas party are two dates in the diary that everyone looks forward to, as they are a great opportunity for everyone to get together.
