Investors in People Silver Accreditation

Cornwall Insight is pleased to announce that we have recently achieved an Investors in People Silver accreditation. This recognition is a significant milestone for us and highlights our unwavering commitment to fostering a culture of excellence in the workplace.

Investors in People are independent workplace engagement specialists, with a mission of making work better. They work directly with organisations and their employees to evaluate engagement levels and provide an assessment of the workplace that includes identifying effective activities, company culture, employee insights, and best practices.

We recognise that this accreditation is not an endpoint but rather an encouragement to continue our efforts to improve the workplace for our employees. While we won’t rest on our laurels, it is worth noting only 15% of businesses obtain the Investors in People Silver Accreditation, which is a testament to our principles and workplace culture

To achieve the accreditation, all our employees were encouraged to anonymously provide their feedback and thoughts about Cornwall Insight to Investors in People, who then produced a comprehensive report.

From the report, we were proud of:

  • The enthusiasm, drive and focus of our people.
  • The shared vision described by our people.
  • Our clear ambition to understand, review and improve over time.
  • Our 4 simple values, which are owned by our people and are increasingly embedded across functions and processes.
  • Managing Covid, supporting our people, physically, emotionally and mentally

Some of the comments from the report about Cornwall Insight include:

“You’re an organisation which clearly wants to be the best it can be. Your mission, vision and values create a clear view of the end goal – your people in turn are clear and passionate advocates for this goal.”

“Your learning and development activities are well embedded, where the dynamic client offer is shared with the internal offer. You develop staff both as individuals and as a team. For the individual you’ve created individual development plans. For those that need it there’s mentoring and increasingly coaching on offer.”

“You reward and recognise staff increasingly for their behaviours in addition to their performance. You work together where you need to and are increasingly returning to a more social community of people that plays together in addition. You’re increasingly innovative in how you reward people. In a dynamic and forward-thinking organisation, you increasingly understand what it is that motivates your people and act accordingly.”
