  • Session 1: 16 July 2024 10am – 12pm
  • Session 2: 17 July 2024 10am – 12pm

This course runs across two days.

This short course is indispensable for those wanting to understand the fundamentals of how Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) and their variants, including Corporate Power Purchase Agreements (CPPAs), are an essential contracting route for many renewable electricity generators.

We will bring to bear our expertise in understanding the electricity market and our regular Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) market share publications to comment on the latest state of the market.

Our industry experts will explain the key parties involved in Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), how different types of contracts work and key terms. We will also focus on how electricity is priced, the treatment of other cost elements, and considerations for different types of generators and purchasers. Please note the session will not provide specific pricing information for individual projects. This service is available separately on a bespoke basis, through our consultancy team.

A long-term forward view of captured prices for different generation technologies is available separately via our Green Power Forecast service, which incorporates values achieved through the wholesale market, embedded benefits and renewable subsidy schemes.
