In March, UK Power Networks (UKPN), Distribution Network Operator (DNO) for the East, South East and London networks, launched its Heat Electrification Strategy. Following Ofgem’s decarbonisation action programme, UKPN set its intention to tackle decarbonising heat on the road to net zero.
The strategy has three core objectives: inform heat decarbonisation policy through provision of data and evidence; deliver a great customer service experience to those wishing to connect to low carbon heating solutions; and undertake least regrets action to ensure network readiness.
