Cornwall Insight and Secure Meters have launched a report setting out how smart meters and smart meter data can deliver a wide range of benefits across the energy value chain, from consumers, to suppliers, to distribution network operators (DNOs).
The ongoing rollout of smart meters in GB has come at significant cost and been subject to multiple delays. In this report, based on a combination of independent research and conversations with market experts, we therefore consider what needs to be done to fully unlock the benefits of the smart meter rollout and maximise the value for money.
