A consultancy project by Cornwall Insight commissoned by the United Kingdom Embassy for Bolivia featured in PV Magazine. The project research shows that it is possible to reach an operational capacity of 2 GW of renewable energy in Bolivia by 2030. In 2019, the country has an installed renewable capacity of 1,036 MW (of the 120 MW were photovoltaic), according to the corresponding IRENA statistics to 2020.
According to Peter Connolly who worked on the report “Bolivia has high levels of natural resources, which can be developed to finance the energy transition or used to create energy storage,”.
