With battery storage and demand side response (DSR) set to play a significant role in supporting the delivery of greater amounts of renewable power and managing electricity networks, we consider revenue streams for related flexibility services across GB, Ireland, and Australia. While outside the scope of this paper, routes to market (R2M) are fundamental, with access to revenue streams increasingly involving complex commercial arrangements (i.e. in the form of a flexible asset Power Purchase Agreement) or trading the power on the markets.
